The ride moab Ind. story
“Growing up here gave us a deep love for the land, its trails, and the stories woven through every canyon and cliff.”

Meet Tyler and KaLeigh Welch, proud owners of Ride Moab Industries and even prouder Moab locals. Their family has called this valley home for seven generations, and they’re now raising the eighth with their sons, Graysen and Taylen. For the Welch's, Moab isn’t just where they live, it’s a legacy.

Tyler Welch,
Owner & Operator
Tyler is a United States Marine Corps combat veteran, who served as an active-duty infantryman from 2003 to 2011. He completed two combat deployments to Ar Ramadi, Iraq (2003 & 2007), and one MEU deployment (2005). In 2003, Tyler was wounded by an IED explosion, sustaining shrapnel injuries to his face.
From 2007 to 2011, Tyler was stationed at the Bridgeport Mountain Warfare Training Center, serving as a Red Hat instructor. There, he trained Marines, Navy personnel, and SEALs to operate in the harsh alpine terrain of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, an experience he describes as the most healing and rewarding of his military career.
After his service, Tyler spent a decade with the National Park Service, bringing his federal service total to 18 years. In 2021, he made the bold move to leave that career behind and pursue a lifelong dream: building a business rooted in family, purpose, and Moab’s incredible backcountry.
For Tyler, riding is therapy. It’s where grit meets peace and it’s that same powerful experience he now shares with clients from around the world.

KaLeigh Welch,
Owner & Director of Operations
KaLeigh is the creative force and operational backbone of Ride Moab Industries. An entrepreneur at heart, she has owned and operated KaLeigh Welch Photography since 2011, capturing the lives of families, couples, and travelers drawn to Moab’s magic.
With a background in administration and community work, including time as a Special Event Coordinator for Grand County, KaLeigh blends creativity and strategy to run a multifaceted business with purpose.
The vision for Ride Moab Industries began with her desire to help Tyler transition into a post-service life filled with meaning and freedom. She wears many hats: strategist, organizer, designer, and above all, visionary.
Her goal is simple but powerful: to share Moab’s soul, its wild beauty, healing energy, and authentic spirit with others through transformative riding experiences.

Meet the Boys: Graysen & Taylen
Graysen and Taylen are the next generation of Ride Moab. Graysen lovingly nicknamed “Race’n Graysen” is better on two wheels than his own two feet, and Taylen is never far behind. Both started riding dirt bikes at just two years old and are already following in their dad’s tire tracks with fearless determination and wide-eyed curiosity.
